Relatively undeveloped, Haa Dhaalu atoll is famous with an untouched beaches and abundant marine life in its reefs spread over 14 inhabited islands and only two luxury resorts. A true tropical paradise is about 300 km north of Malé, for families or intimate celebrations this aqua sanctuary in northern part of Maldivesl is accessible by seaplane scenic trip or 45-minutes domestic flight.
The atoll capital, Kulhuduffushi, is the most populous island, home to around 8200 people. It’s also the most important island in the northern Maldives, with a hospital, secondary school and plenty of shops, although as it lacks sufficient space for an airport, planes land on nearby Hanimaadhoo airport. The island also a great spot for budget holiday.
